Words of Advice

Filed under: Uncategorized — stew at 10:18 am on Friday, April 4, 2008

If you could give three words of advice to a president candidate, what would they be?

Don’t give up.

I chose these words because we need a president who has a lot of confidence and who has a high self esteem. If we have a president who doesn’t think positive about themselves, our country wouldn’t be the same. Everyone would be negative and no one would be happy.

 DON’T!

GIVE!

UP!

High School

Filed under: Uncategorized — stew at 6:46 pm on Tuesday, February 5, 2008

Since I will be going to high school next year, I have many fears and wonders about it. I wonder what the teachers and the school are going to be like. I’m really nervous because I don’t wanna get lost and I don’t wanna get to know a new school so soon. It feels like life is going by so fast. I mean, I remember being in Elementry School and now I’m almost in HIGH SCHOOL! It’s so hard to beleive because like I said, lifes going by so fast. Anyway, my hopes for high school are: I hope I don’t get lost, I hope I’ll graduate without staying back, and I hope to make new friends and keep my friends that I have now. Changes that I hope to go through in high school are that I want to be more outgoing rather than shy during class.

Why do we…

We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.

MLKhttp://www.princeton.edu/pr/mlk/images/mlk_mainpic2.jpg

That was one of the very many quotes of no other than Martin Luther King Jr.

He said the most 4 famous words in the world: “I had a dream.”

People adored him because even though he was colored, he hated racial discrimination. He wanted to do something about it, so that’s where the ‘I have a dream’ speech came in. It was one of the greatest and most notable speeches in history. A few years after he gave that speech, a guy named James Earl Ray assassinated MLK.

I am…

Filed under: Uncategorized — stew at 12:03 pm on Friday, December 21, 2007

The video I chose is called I am…I think the main idea for this video is to love the one you’re with because they might not stay with you forever. Three reasons why I think this is the main idea because 1) The two people loved another so much, then the old lady died. 2) The couple met when they were at least 3 years old, then they fell in love. 3) it started out as a child crush, then it turned into real love. It wasn’t like any love you see in movies. Where they break up and they move on, they stayed together forever. An example for reason #1 is because when you truly fall in love with someone, then you have to cherish every moment you have with them, because they will not be with you forever. An example for #2 is that when you meet someone at a young age, you might fight alot, and hey, that’s what little kids do. If you see in movies, 2 little kids meet eachother, they hate one another. Then as they get older they find out that they actually like each-other, and that crush turns to love. An example for #3 is that if you watch a movie like The Notebook or some love movie, you see that their love grows over time. It’s not like one of those movies where 2 people go out, then break up 2 weeks/1 year later. This video shows true love. A final thought I am going to give is that this video is really deep, but it’s really good. by deep, I mean it gives you a point, and it dosn’t leave you hanging. An image that would go good with this video is two people holding hands. And the way they are holding hands makes a shape of a heart.

Who I admire

The person I admire, other than my parents, is my sister. She can tell me anything and I can tell her anything too. We trust eachother and I know she’ll never tell anyone my secrets. She’s like my best friend and even though we fight, I’ll always love her and I know she’ll always love me.

Well, I hope it’s good, because my sister loves high school and she can’t wait for me to go. Personally, I don’t wanna go. (haha). What do you wonder about High School?

Paul Frees

If you are wondering who Paul Frees is…or if you have ever heard of the show ‘Rocky and Bullwinkle’, then yes, you may have heard of Paul Frees. He plays the voice of Bullwinkle. He was born on June 22, 1922 in Chicago. I think Paul changed our world because without his voice, thousands of kids and maybe adults wouldn’t have enjoyed the show anymore. Paul also did some Disney projects including ‘An Adventure In Color’ where he sang a song called ‘The Spectrum Song’. Some other Disney Movies he starred in were: Donald In Mathmagic Land, Adventure Thru Innerspace, The Haunted Mansion, and the Shaggy Dog (old versian). Unfortunatly, he died on November 2, 1986 at the age of 66 =[.

Company

The company I e-mailed is called Masonic. My mom works there and I e-mailed her boss who is really nice. I asked her how they got ideas to have voulenteers. I was a voulenteer last summer. Masonic is a place where if an old person is sick, or needs a home, they will take them in. In other words, it’s a nursing home. Anyway, the answer I got was: Well, one day, we had a paitent and her grandaughter came in and all the folks were so happy to see her that we decided to start bringing in kids for voulenteer work! She also said that they’ve been doing voulenteer work there for a long time! I might go back and volenteer next summer so I can get my community service hours for high school over with.
